UK SPM returns to MICROSCIENCE for 2008

Following the success of holding UK SPM 2006 at MICROSCIENCE, the event returns in 2008 and will take place on 25 - 26 June.

The meeting will follow the same format as always with parallel sessions incorporating a range of invited, contributed, commercial and early career presentations. Why not extend your meeting by visiting the MICROSCIENCE Exhibition on the morning of Wednesday 25 June, and attending some of the workshops run by SPM Companies on the Exhibition Hall Floor? |
All topics associated with scanning probe microscopy may be covered, including main techniques such as atomic force microscopy and scanning tunnelling microscopy as well as more specialised versions. A wide variety of applications from biological molecules, biomaterials, polymers, crystals, metal and catalyst surfaces, nanostructures, nanomanipulation, instrument and probe development, and more, are likely to be explored.
We welcome contributions on all SPM related topics for oral or poster presentation. We are also keen to promote opportunities for early career researchers, from PhD students to Postdocs and young academics, and have industry sponsored prizes including an IPOD for the best early career oral presentation (courtesy of Veeco).

This year’s conference dinner will be taking place the Fox at ExCeL as part of the Party on the Plaza. The wine reception is kindly sponsored by Asylum Research and begins at 6pm. All SPM delegates are invited to attend this event.
Oral Presentation
If you have been chosen for an oral presentation your presentation will be 15 minutes with 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for questions.
Poster Presentation
If you have been chosen for poster presentation your poster should be size A0 and portrait
